About certificates of insurance
-
In many instances, your declarations page (which was provided to you with your annual invoice and is available electronically),
will serve as sufficient proof of coverage. The declarations page outlines the coverage provided to you under the Law Society of
Upper Canada's insurance program, including policy period and coverage limits. For your convenience, a PDF copy may be downloaded
from the secure My LAWPRO section of our website. Go to Primary Policy Docs and choose the applicable year
(e.g. - 2012 Policy Documents). Under the Invoice & Declaration header,
choose 2012 Premium Invoice & Declaration page. The first page is your premium invoice and should not be
forwarded to your client. The subsequent page(s) labelled "Declarations" is/are evidence of your proof of coverage and
may be forwarded to your client. Providing a copy of your declarations page to your client will often satisfy the requirement
of showing proof of coverage.
