Junior Software Developer

Job Description

LAWPRO is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Software Developer to join our development team. As a Junior Software Developer, you will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining a SaaS application hosted on AWS using the .NET framework, React, and MySQL. This role will work closely with senior developers, learn best practices, and contribute to various projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment. In addition to outstanding technical skills and creativity, we are looking for an individual who understands and can relate to business users and their needs in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with designing, developing, testing and maintaining applications
  • Participate in debugging and troubleshooting software issues.
  • Follow best practices and industry standards for software development.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications in staging/production environments.

Position requirements

  • Degree or certificate in STEM, computer science, software engineering or information systems
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Frameworks, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
  • Some IT and business/industry work experience software design, development and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the .NET framework and C# programming language.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Experience with basic SQL queries.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like React.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Basic understanding of JWT (JSON Web Tokens).
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect is an asset.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture is an asset.
