Job Description

We are looking for a versatile and experienced Senior Cloud and Systems Administrator to join our Operations team at LAWPRO. Working under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Senior Cloud and Systems Administrator will lead and/or participate in Cloud and Infrastructure projects, day-to-day operations, and end user support. The Senior Cloud and Systems Administrator will be involved in the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, support, maintenance, documentation, and/or retirement of system hardware, software, and related infrastructure. In addition to outstanding technical skills and imagination, we are looking for an individual who understands and can relate to business users and issues. Customer focus, superior communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mandatory experience and qualifications:

  • in-depth experience with Active Directory, Group Policy administration
  • in-depth experience with Azure, AWS, and Office 365 Platforms
  • in-depth experience with server virtualization and storage area network technology
  • in-depth experience with current Windows PC and server configuration and maintenance
  • in-depth knowledge of technology backup tools, administration, and configuration
  • Knowledge of networking and firewall platforms, concepts and troubleshooting techniques
  • knowledge of VOIP and wireless technology
  • knowledge of mobile device management tools and techniques
  • knowledge of web technology and web server administration
  • knowledge of ITIL principles (e.g., change management, incident management)
  • knowledge of Linux, Android, and iOS operating systems
  • knowledge of security software and tools
  • knowledge of scripting, tools, and techniques
  • proven ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • adaptable, flexible, and able to accept change

Operations

  • Follow ITIL practices regarding incident, problem, and change management
  • Perform administration of various cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS – IaaS and PaaS services delivering storage, networking, identity and access management, compute, auditing, compliance
  • Perform administration of VMWare, Windows servers, and Linux Operating systems
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all projects, technical procedures, best practices, and administrative processes
    Perform any additional tasks as required


Provisioning

  • Deploy new services and environments as required
  • Create, update, and maintain internal build documents and runbooks
  • Help research, develop, and implement new services, tools, and software
  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure management and design, with a focus on customer service and complex technical assistance
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technology; IaaS, PaaS, DRaaS, and Microsoft 365, Intune
  • Experience with Scripting and Automation Technologies: Bash, PowerShell
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts in the cloud: VPCs, Internet Gateways, ELBs, Routing and Peering, NSGs
  • 8+ years of Windows and Linux administration required with at least some of the following: RHEL, Ubuntu, IDP/SSO/SAML, MS IIS, MS Windows Server, MS SQL Server, MS Active Directory, Azure Active Directory
  • Experience with ticketing and monitoring systems
  • Experience with cloud native and traditional on-premise backup and recovery solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • After-hours availability required, evenings and weekends
  • One or more certifications, or experience with, or specialized training in related technologies: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, RHEL, ITIL, Security +, Network +, MCSE, MCITP, etc.
