LAWYERS in Private Practice FAQs

If you have questions that are not answered below, or if you need further clarification or information, please contact LAWPRO®'s Customer Service department toll-free at 1-800-410-1013, 416-598-5899 in Toronto or at service@lawpro.ca.

About notifying LAWPRO and the Law Society about changes in status

  • I've advised the Law Society in writing of my upcoming change in status. Do I need to let LAWPRO know as well?

If you're changing firms, address, or changing your status (going into or out of private practice), ensure that you notify both LAWPRO and LSUC separately of these changes.

LAWPRO and LSUC maintain completely separate information databases and, in keeping with their respective mandates, generally do not share information that LAWYERS may consider confidential or proprietary.
