Lawyer joins your firm from another law firm

Please log into your firm account on MyLAWPRO, select ‘Member List,’ ‘Add Members’ and follow the instructions

Lawyer leaves your firm

Please log into your firm account on MyLAWPRO, select ‘Member List,’ ‘Remove Members’ and follow the instructions

Lawyer joins your firm as a new call or after a period of exemption

Lawyer must complete a New Applicant form.

Lawyer taking a leave of absence (but remaining a member of the firm)

Lawyer must complete an Application for Exemption. In the absence of this form, coverage will remain in place with premiums unabated.

Lawyer is retiring or otherwise leaving private practice in Ontario

Please log into your firm account on MyLAWPRO, select ‘Member List,’ ‘Remove Members’ and complete the details for the lawyer who is leaving private practice. Please let the lawyer know they must also complete an Application for Exemption (for New Applicants). In the absence of this form, coverage will remain in place with premiums unabated. The lawyer may also wish to consider purchasing Increased Run-Off Coverage.
