Deadline has now passed to save $50 per lawyer on your 2010 premiums (some conditions apply)
The deadline to benefit from the lump sum payment discount ($54 per insured lawyer from the invoiced amount – $50 for the discount and $4 for PST) has now passed. Premium payment made in full by cheque must have been dated and received by LAWPRO on or before February 9, 2010 in order to receive the discount. Please note that paying in a lump sum by credit card does NOT qualify for the lump sum payment discount.

Real estate levies increase to $65
Surcharge amount depends on file opening date:  Real estate transactions on which files are opened on or after January 1, 2010, will be subject to a $65 real estate transaction levy surcharge. Transactions for which files were opened prior to January 1, 2010, but which close later in 2010 will be subject to the $50 surcharge in effect when the file was opened.
