In 2010, one Canadian law student will be the winner of the TitlePLUS Essay Prize, created by LAWPRO to encourage and recognize outstanding legal scholarship in the practice of real estate law.

Duncan Gosnell, currently Vice President, Underwriting at LAWPRO, has been appointed to the new role of Executive Vice President and Secretary for the Board, Ian Croft, Chair of the LAWPRO Board of Directors announced on May 5. "This appointment recognizes Mr. Gosnell’s many contributions to the success of LAWPRO during his extensive career with the company. It also reflects the need for this type of position in today's complex business environment," said Mr. Croft.

With the launch of TitlePLUS title insurance in Quebec in mid-April, LAWPRO's title insurance program is now available to consumers in every part of Canada. TitlePLUS officials have worked closely with Quebec notaries and lawyers to introduce TitlePLUS insurance to Quebec consumers.
